(-___-;) I think I'm getting old. o_o What other reason does the unfinished homework sitting on my desk have to glare at me? #__#

So, uh, how did today begin? I woke up in the afternoon, as usual, read my heart out on fanfics, and then fell asleep at 4pm. Because Mum said I needed to "Rest my eyes." And then I read again. o_O

(s) Damn, I think I have such an exciting life! (/sarcasm)

And I couldn't find any fics that suited my liking, either. T___T -sober-

-Nobody in the FFX section seems to be able to write a proper plot. It's all "YunaTidus," but the pairing sucks without a plot! >______<
-FFVIII's boring. =__=; I don't need to read about how Rinoa or Quistis go AWOL for Squall. (It seems that the male population here is only reduced to Squall).
-Kingdom Hearts isn't as strong as it use to be. KHII's gonna fix that, right? >____>
-And FFVII... I'm gonna just say I haven't found a fic that's gotten me reading for longer than a day. x_x

And it seems people have asked me, "How come you hate Aerith?" Well, I'm not anger-driven enough to commit homocide, but the simple reason would be because she's a Mary Sue. Naive, beautiful, has special abilities, comes from a very tragic past, falls in love with more than one character, makes a great "sacrifice"... I could go on and on.

You could say Yuna would be a close-in-line Mary Sue as well, but Spira's like all "Oh please, die for us," not to mention she actually keeps a distance from flirts. Oh, and FFX-2 was practially a satire of her anyways, hence demostrating Yuna actually grows more immature as she ages. So Yuna's off the hook.

And that's why I hate Aerith, not Yuna, and received a lot of angry emails~

Hey, I was wondering why the hate on Aerith's character. Is she that bad? Well, she seemed pretty weak and compliciant and fell in love with just about anyone who gave her attention. But she's dead so she's not much of a threat. O_o But I know fanfics probably make her alive and all that to fit into the story.

To me, canon characters aren't mary sue, because mary sue are extentions of us. BUT they are the creator's mary sue. For example, in my other fandom, many opposite shippers think that Ginny is JKRowling's Mary sue. Because she's paired with the hero. To me, she's just perfect for Harry because of their similar temperments. But to others, they think that is JKR's Sue and thus, calling her Ginny Sue.

Though I'm also familiar with the ultimate Mary Sue, the one who is the best looking, the smartest, the most powerful, the most EVERYTHING and she gets the guy to fall in love with her. O_o
I find those extremely hard to believe.....

Hmm... maybe. But a lot of the time, the fanfics don't bring her back to life to fit the story-- in fact, they fit a story, just to bring her back to life. That just destroys her whole purpose of dying, you know? Its really just to create a happy ending, for her, while trying to override the original plot itself. And in most cases, good things come to an end. Which is why there are, say, more FFX fans than FFX-2. And "happy-happy" sequel just... destroyed it.

Ginny seems to be a little girl, really, who accidentally sets up most of the plot in the second book, etc. Other than that, you don't see her falling in love with other characters/ villians, she doesn't have special abilities (that no one else has, anyways...) and she isn't all /that/ pretty. Just little Ginny, with a crush on Harry~

Its not just how ethereal Mary Sues are, but also how cliched they appear in stories. Really, anyone can write a Sue fic, the thing is, can anyone write a fic with an OC that's somewhat include romance, without the characters getting a little too Sue-like?

I have hope for the humanity! >xD And I've seen some pieced together really well. ^__^
